Spanish
Volunteers Needed
The LPE Spanish program is starting up again and we need
volunteers! We teach 30 minutes a week from October to May and are
expanding to include all grade levels this year. The curriculum, materials, and training are
all provided. We'll try to accommodate
schedules and requests for your child's class.
Our Spanish classes are taught by parent volunteers. Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but if you
know the basics and have a good accent, and you have enthusiasm for the children,
we want you!
We’re also looking for parents to assist our teachers in the
Spanish classes. It is not necessary to
speak Spanish to serve as an assistant. We
love to play games and sing songs, so any extra hands are very welcome.
If you can’t commit to a weekly 30 minute time slot but would like
to be involved in the program either as a potential substitute or by helping to
plan and organize Spanish projects and materials, we would love to have your
support.
Teaching Spanish is an extremely rewarding
volunteer effort. It’s an opportunity to
make a direct and lasting impact on the children's lives and a great way to
brush up on and expand your Spanish skills.
