How can I practice at home?
Try using your Spanish skills at
home by saying your colors in both English and
Spanish. How about counting in Spanish
instead of English? We all use our magic
words daily… why not use the Spanish versions instead? Sing the Days of the Week and Months of the
Year songs in Spanish and show your parents your body parts
“exercise” routine!
How about playing some computer
games in Spanish? Follow these links to
practice your new Spanish skills:
· colores (note that they use marrón instead of café for brown)
· números
· alfabeto
· saludos
·
partes
·
ropa (clothing)
·
lugares
(places)
·
baño (bathroom
vocabulary)
·
comida 1 y comida 2 (food list 1
and 2)
·
tiempo (weather)
Remember that the key to pronouncing words in Spanish is to use your Spanish
vowel sounds. Practice this whenever you
can. For example, use your Spanish
letter sound skills to read your menu at a Mexican restaurant.
