General Meeting Minutes

1/14/2010

Meeting called to order at 8:26 a.m.

 Motion to approve minutes from the November 19, 2009 General Meeting.  Motion seconded.  Motion approved.

 Fundraising – LPE Date Night will be March 26, 2010 at the Hill Country Pasta House.

 Programs – The Talent Show is January 29, 2010 and there will be two shows; 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Family Science Night is January 21, 2010 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

 Volunteers – Need volunteers for the Talent Show, please contact Kerrie Schneider.  Need 3 people to form a nominating committee, contact Dinah or Tracy.

 Finance – The cash balance for the P & L ending January 4, 2010 was $72,215.

 Motion to approve the P & L ending January 4, 2010. Motion seconded.  Motion approved.

                                      Funding Requests: Tutoring                                 $5000.00

                                      Programs (Talent Show)                                      $  800.00

                                      Enrichment Room (supplies)                                 $2000.00 (max)

                                      Sales Tax                                                             $  590.00 (max)

          *The above items have already been budgeted for.

                                      Video Broadcasting System     $12,000.00(max)

          There were a few questions regarding the video equipment, how it will be used, and who will work with the kids.

 Motion to approve Funding Requests.  Motion seconded. Motion approved.
