General Meeting Minutes

11/19/09

 

 

Meeting called to order at 8:00 a.m.

 

Motion to approve minutes from October 15, 2009 General Meeting.  Motion seconded. Motion approved.

 

Finance – Babita Deitrich – P & L: Cash balance as of October 26, 2009 was $77,796.00.  Income was $37,970.00, and the expense total (total paid out this year) was $17,087.93.  Net income for the year so far is $20,882.00. Our cash balance ending on November 9, 2009 is $76,670.00.

 

Motion to approve the P & L ending November 9, 2009.  Motion seconded.  Motion approved.

 

          Funding Requests: School Store needs to order more inventory,

          Requesting $1000.00, which is well within their budget.

          Additional expense for Carnival: We would like to donate $50 to the

          LTHS Swim Team for all of their help and hard work during our

          carnival.

 

Motion to approve Funding Requests.  Motion seconded.  Motion approved.

 

Staff Appreciation Committee – Raquel Knox – Today is a teacher luncheon and Shop the Market.  The food for the luncheon has been partially donated by Iron Cactus. 

 

Door Decorating starts the week after Thanksgiving.  The theme will be cookies and cookie jars on each door.  The kids get to decorate the cookies. 

 

The next staff appreciation day is the Hot Chocolate Trolley, coming up in December. 

 

Fundraising – Kristi Jordan & Karla Ent – The final number for Carnival is $13,986.00.  A HUGE thanks to everyone who came to the carnival and to everyone who volunteered.  Thank you to Amy Still, Laurie Anderson, Ms. Gudelman, Rachelle Wilbanks, Andra Wheeler, Babita Deitrich, Traci Smith, Kim Watson, Jan Coburn, Amy Dolce, and Kerrie Schneider, and to our 30 sponsors.  Thank you to the Main Stage Performers.

 

Programs – Thanks to those who helped hang art for the Art Show and the Music Program is tonight.  Talent Show is the next big event coming up in January.

 

Volunteers – Volunteer hours for October: 2,411.  Best Club Members: Amy Still, Julie Gurley, Karla Ent, and Amy Dolce.  Thanks for helping with P.E. Stations and for those who helped with the Hearing/ Vision testing.  Music Program is tonight. 

 

Presidents – Lynn Ballard & Amy Dolce – Thanks to the Board and Volunteers.  Lynn asked those in attendance if they have any questions.  No one did, but the majority of attendees were kindergarten parents.  They said they were thoroughly impressed with our school!
