Carnival Dates for next year: Either October 9, 2010 or October 16, 2010.
School Store made $300 in the last 2 weeks.
We have hit our goal for Fundraising and are looking at the need for a Spring Bash or a fun Community Event, such as using the Hill Country Pasta House for an LPE “Date Night”, while kids use their pavilion to watch a movie. Or, a
picnic for LPE families at the park.
LOTS of discussion ensued! Questions came up such as:
each time we use our school? Twelve percent of our Carnival Funds went to pay
for District fees.
the Book Fair.
Rachelle Wilbanks asks when we are going to start spending some of our funds?
Tami Strait says Heidi would really like the school to be equipped with a Video
Production System. Lynn suggests taking a look at Bee Cave Elementary’s and
see how it is working out for their school.
Babita says any wish list items, no matter how big or small, need to be brought to
the PTO when they arise so that we can allocate funds to items, or fund raise with
specific goals in mind.
Tami is going to work on finding out how quickly we can implement any new
ideas, such as the video production system. She says that Heidi is always
respectful of her requests and doesn’t feel that it should always be up to the PTO
to fund all requests because grants should cover some things.
7. Membership: Rachelle Wilbanks & Julie Gurley - One more family has joined
the PTO.
8. Programs: Page Ballard – Art Show is coming up on Thursday, November 12th.
Some volunteers are needed on Friday to help.
9. Staff Appreciation: Amy Domecq & Raquel Knox - November 19th is Shop
the Market. 21 more pies are needed. If anyone is interested in baking pies,
please e-mail Amy. Iron Cactus is providing food.
December is Hot Chocolate Trolley.
Door Decorating-Nicolette Cannata’s sister, who is an artist, has volunteered to
design the cookie jars for all the doors. Volunteers will meet the Monday after
Thanksgiving to cut out templates. Heidi says the hallways don’t have to be
decorated.
10. Volunteers: Tracy Miller – They have a list for “as needed” volunteers that
might be able to help with baking pies.
Spanish – November will be spent working on reviews and new focus material as
well as Thanksgiving and Winter material.
Outdoor Garden – They were successful at the Carnival and made $125 on plant
and seed sales. They promise a bigger and better booth for next year’s Carnival!
11. Communications: Chelsea Watts – Please send newsflash items to both Chelsea
and Wendi! And, get an original copy to Tami for the Tuesday Folders.
12. Grade Level Reps: Tracy Keever – still discussing an extra 4th grade field trip.
A 3rd bus has been added to certain field trips due to the size of certain classes. It
will bump up the cost a little.

Texas Education Business Coalition Honor Roll for 2009!
